At least 20 words. A little longer is fine, but a clear story that links all three pictures matters more than the word count.
Examiners look at whether the story makes sense and uses suitable A2 words and grammar. Small spelling mistakes are expected at this level and don't lose all the marks.
Use picture prompts from books, photos or the Story Writing game, and ask for three to five sentences. Short, regular practice beats the occasional long essay.
